GEM NIRMAALAYAM 04/2007
Dear Sir/Ma’am,
Vanakkam. We wish to inform you that
the pace of progress of work in Gem Nirmaalayam has
been speeded up with about 700 people working currently.
We have also started laying the roads, construction
of the compound walls on the outer perimeter as well
as for independent villas. The water lines have been
laid and hopefully will be completed in the next ten
days or so. Once the preliminary road work is completed
we will also be laying the electrical cables as well
as the panels. Unlike last year, we do not hope to be
affected too much by the rains this time as we have
already commenced the road work in full swing.
We have placed the orders for the Sewage
Treatment Plant (STP). We have also made arrangements
for the disposal of excess treated water to be taken
out of the colony as we hope to generate 97000 Ltrs
of sewage treated water from over one lac ltrs of sewage
per day. We have been assured by the company with whom
we have placed the order for the STP that with added
features like chlorination incorporated, it would be
safe to recycle the water to the Water Closets in the
toilets. But they would be able to complete the civil
work in two months time and, thereafter it would take
four weeks for the erection of the machine. They have
assured us that they would commence the work by 10th
of July’07 so that the plant will be totally ready
by end of September or so.
While we intend completing the planned
60 houses as well as “C” block of the apartments
by 31st August, you may plan on the wood work for your
Villa/apartment sometime in September. Based on our
experience the entire wood work like cupboards and kitchen
normally takes about 6-8 weeks and hopefully by October
your house will be totally ready for you to move in.
We have also been assured by the Corporation authorities
that they would give us the water connection by August
2007.
The EB Department will be setting up
the Transformers by August 07 by when even the cables
and electrical panels would have been completed by us.
The orders for all these items have been placed
We have placed order for 50 Solar lights
and this should start arriving by end of July 07. We
have also placed the order for Solar Water heaters for
the villas as well as for the apartments with Tata BP
Solar and the delivery of the same are expected in August
07.
The Club House roof is expected to
be cast on 15 July and the OHT for water is nearing
completion. In fact we are already using it for construction.
Kone has been given the order for three
lifts for the three blocks of apartments and the delivery
for the C Block would be in August 07.
As we have already said in our earlier
communications, we need 60 families to occupy the Villas/Apartments
which we will be handing over by August/September’07.
Assuming that all of you would co-operate and will occupy
the houses once the civil work is completed and your
wood work is also expedited, the colony would generally
be comfortable for living.
Those of you who want any help with
your interior work you may contact us and we would suggest
some options to you through the various vendors known
to us. However, the wood work is left entirely to you
to get done by any one that you choose.
